JAMSHEDPUR, February 7: Paramjit Sharma SSCB, the unbeaten champion for the last ten year and holder of two national records, retained his title in the 85 kgs category in the Senior National Weightlifting Championship on the penultimate day at JRD Tata Sports Complex here today.
The 43-year-old Paramjit lifted 137.5 kg in snatch and 170 kg in clean and jerk for a total of 307.5 kg.
A Srinivas Rao Railways won the silver 302.5 kg, while Jatindar Singh of Police claimed the bronze medal.
