Chandigarh, Sept 12: A constable of Punjab Armed Police PAP was found dead here this morning.
According to police sources, Lakshman Singh 40 had his dinner last evening and went to bed. He did not wake up this morning. He was putting up with his colleagues in a camp behind the Police Headquarters building here in Sector 9. He was posted with the 13 Battalion.
Police have informed his family in Bathinda and are waiting for their arrival before they perform the post-mortem.
Sources added that no injury marks were found on his body and the cause of death can only be ascertained after the post-mortem is done.
Police are making their assessment in connection with the inquest.
