In the case of Telco, the hike would apply to the Sumo and Safari, while in case of M&M, it would be the Armada jeep. Observers say the two companies would first wait for the other to make an announcement. This has been attributed to the fact that they have a combined market share of over 85 per cent in the multi-utility vehicle (MUV) segment and are fierce competitors here.
