Unable to find a suitable accommodation to stay in the state capital, Uttaranchal Congress president Harish Rawat has decided to take a cot to party headquarters and sleep there. While Harish Rawat may be annoyed at the way his own government has treated a leader of his stature, he has reasons to be happy at the ouster of his opponent Satpal Maharaj from the secretaryship of the AICC.

After having stayed at hotels or government guest houses during his visit to Dehra Dun, Rawat is reportedly annoyed with CM Narain Dutt Tiwari over the issue.

His supporters allege that despite requests, proper arrangements weren’t made for his stay at government guest houses in keeping with his status as state Congress chief and Rajya Sabha MP.
