Last month’s Incredible India@60 function in New York proved a good opportunity for many government officers to enjoy a foreign vacation. At least three officers had taken open return tickets and stayed back in the United States on leave after the event was over. Some of them had also taken their family members along. But having got extensive and positive coverage of the event in the media, top officials in Tourism Ministry were hardly complaining.
