Amidst reports of Amitabh Bachchan sending a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh offering to surrender agricultural land he had acquired in Pune, the Chief Minister8217;s Office said on Thursday that it had not received any such communication. 8220;The CM8217;s Office has not received any such letter. So far, the only information we have about the matter is only based on a report that appeared in a newspaper,8221; an official in the CM8217;s Office said.

In Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh Government also said it has not yet received any such letter from the actor. Shaelesh Krishna, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, said the Mayawati has so far not got any letter from Bachchan about his land in Barabanki.
