No clue to dacoity, say police

PUNE, May 20: The Daund police today swooped down on some of the hamlets of tribes suspected to be involved in dacoities in the Daund area as a follow-up to yesterday’s incident of dacoity. Three persons, including a woman were killed while two others were seriously injured in a dacoity that took place at Dhumal vasti in Gopalwadi village near Daund last midnight.

The dacoits armed with sticks and iron rods thrashed the inmates of the house and took away cash and valuables worth Rs 5300.

The police said that there was no trace of the dacoits so far.
