.

A local court today rejected the bail plea of Maulana Ghulam Yahya, Imam of Haj House Masjid, held on the charge of harbouring three militants from Jammu and Kashmir having links with the Lashkar-e-Toiba.

The Maulana’s bail plea was rejected by a fast track court which observed that there was prima facie evidence against the accused. The court also noted that the offence alleged to have been committed by the Maulana was of a serious nature.

The Maulana was arrested by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on January 13 for allegedly harbouring three militants, arrested here earlier along with materials used for making bombs. ATS alleged that the Maulana was a link between Salauddin, the LeT Commander in Kashmir, and three arrested militants – Mohammed Ramzan Abdul Wahab Haji, Kurshid Ahmed Abdul Gani Lone and Arshad Hussain Badru Hussain.
