The 60-km stretch of Patna-Muzaffarpur section of National Highway 19 and 77 in Bihar would be upgraded under the BOT (annuity) mode, instead of the BOT (toll) mode. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday as there was no response for the tender notice for the toll mode. Finance Minister P Chidambaram said that NHAI Board had been authorised to take decision with regard to award of work on BOT (Annuity) mode. The approval would enable the award of project and facilitate NHDP Phase-III.
