
The North-Eastern Council (NEC) has sanctioned
Rs 4.38 lakh to IIM-Calcutta for evaluation-cum-impact study of marketing support for agriculture-horticulture produces in the region. The amount is the third installment of funds for the study of NEC-funded ongoing schemes.
The NEC also approved payment of over Rs 1.27 lakh to JNU associate professor Gulshan Sachdeva for study on economy of the North-East (gap areas). It sanctioned Rs 5.88 lakh to Pune University’s science and technology park director for evaluation of North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management at Tezpur. — (PTI)
