MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 16: The top four seeds in the boys under-17 category took their appointed places in the semi-finals with easy wins against their lesser known opponents in the 25th HSCB Maharashtra state Open squash championship here on Thursday.

In the quarter-finals top seed Gaurav Nandrajog sidelined Mihir Seth 9-4, 9-4, 9-5 while second seed Supreet Singh ousted Rushabh Vora 9-0, 9-2, 9-3.Third seed Saurav Ghosal too had an easy time defeating Jagbir Singh Julka 9-5, 9-4, 9-0 while fourth seed Sahil Vora packed off Anurag Gill 9-5, 9-3, 9-2 to move into the semi-finals.

Second and third seeds Sandeep Jangra and Manek Mathur will clash in the boys under-13 final respectively on Friday.pMathur rallied magnificiently, after dropping the first two games, to pip fourth seed Jay Bhagat 4-9, 1-9, 9-5, 9-6, 9-0 while Jangra beat giant-killer Naishadh Lalwani 9-1, 9-10, 9-7, 9-5.
