Mystery shrouds student’s death

PUNE, Nov 18: Mystery surrounds the death of a MBBS student of B.J. Medical College, who was found lying unconscious at his Hadapsar Residence early this morning.

Imran Ismail Shaikh, who had got up to study at around 3 a.m., was found lying unconscious on his bed by his brother Anis around 6.30 am. Anis rushed him to a nearby private hospital from where he was shifted to Sassoon hospital. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. Since the circumstances in which Imran fell unconscious are not clear, the Hadapsar police have filed a case of accidental death. His body was handed over to relatives after a post-mortem.
