Taking potshots at the BJP over the revolt by Maharashtra leader Gopinath Munde, the Congress on Tuesday said it reflected the 8220;exclusivist syndrome8221; of the saffron party.
8220;Primarily, it is an internal matter of the party. But I cannot help saying it reflects the exlusivist syndrome of the BJP,8221; AICC spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi told reporters in New Delhi.
He said the concerns raised by Munde reflect 8220;the real face, the real philosophy of the BJP, which certainly cannot be called inclusive.8221; 8220;It certainly cannot be called pro-Dalit or pro-backward,8221; Singhvi added.
He referred to RSS chief K S Sudershan8217;s call for a revamp of the Constitution and the BJP8217;s 8220;indirect, muted, de facto opposition8221; to the OBC quota.
8220;There is a consistency about BJP8217;s approach and philosophy, of shedding crocodile tears for backwards and dalits and really opposing tooth and nail every welfare measure,8221; Singhvi said.
8220;The exclusivist syndrome is obviously giving rise to concerns across the spectrum of the BJP,8221; he remarked.
