
VARANASI, FEBRUARY 15: Mumbai girls thrashed Bhopal 7-0 in a one-sided inaugural match of the 13th sub-junior girls National hockey championship here on Tuesday. Mumbai led 2-0 at the half-time and gave a superb display of their talent in the second half by striking five more goals. Pallavi and Reena scored three goals each for their side, while Bhopal even failed to trouble their confident opponents.
In other matches, Kerala beat West Bengal 7-0; Punjab swamped Gujarat 10-0; Tamil Nadu and Vidarbha drew with Manipur and Rajasthan respectively.
