MUMBAI, May 15: One of society8217;s nowhere people have organised for a better deal. Eunuchs from Mumbai and Navi Mumbai will meet to discuss rehabilitation of their community. The meet, organised by the nascent Indian Eunuchs8217; Rehabilitation Trust, will take place on May 22 in ICL College, Navi Mumbai.The trust, to be be registered within a fortnight, was inspired by Pooja Bhatt8217;s film Tamanna, stated trust vice-president Kamalabai.

Social organisations like Lions and Rotary Club and corporate houses have reportedly assured them of financial help, said trust president Principal D B Kadam of Bhavan8217;s College, Andheri. The main aim, he said, was to provide the eunuchs 8220;food, shelter and clothing.8221;An ashram will be constructed as well as a school to make eunuchs literate.

Plans are also afoot to provide them with vocational training in book binding, knitting, assembling machine parts, farming, carpentry, tailoring, repairing of television sets, bicycle repairing, poultry farming and the manufacture andmarketing of home-based products like chalks, candles, matchboxes, soap, toys and furniture. 8220;We will also provide the eunuchs with stalls for telephone booths, tailoring, fast food, fruits and vegetables and ready made garments8221;, said the trust secretary Rajit Yadav, who has authored a book on them in Hindi.
