Businessman robbed
In an incident of armed robbery, a businessman was robbed of Rs. 3.5 lakh last night. According to police sources, the complainant was travelling in his car when five robbers came in a Maruti Esteem and blocked his way at Mahim. The robbers, armed with choppers and a country-made revolver, broke the glasses of the complainant8217;s car, snatched his bag containing Rs 3.5 lakh, and fled. Police have registered a case of robbery, and further investigations are on to trace the robbers, sources said. Meanwhile, in another incident, the police has recovered a dead body with ten bullet wounds. The body was noticed when the police was patrolling near Tardeo last night.
Manohar Salvi joins Congress
The Congress today got a shot in the arm when Manohar Salvi, brother of former state unit chief of Samajwadi Party SP Rajaram Salvi rejoined the party. According to MPCC vice-president Madan Bafna, a large number of Salvi8217;s followers also joined the Congress.
