NEW DELHI, June 2: There was a 8220;two-minute squall8221; that swept through the city around 8 p.m., bringing down the temperatures drastically. While the day temperature was three degrees above normal at 43.7 degree Celsius, the temperature just after the squall was 35.3 degrees. The minimum temperature recorded was 29.5 degrees, one above normal.

While no rainfall was recorded during or after the squall, there was possibility of a shower late at night. With the wind blowing at 77 kilometer per hour, Delhiites got a refreshing whiff of the monsoons expected at the end of the month.

The forecast also indicates a comparatively cooler day with the Met department expecting 8220;overcast skies in some areas in the afternoon or evening8221; tomorrow. This will be in keeping with the 8220;frequent thunderstorms8221; in the month of June.
