Terming the Ahmedabad and Bangalore blasts as “barbaric acts of terrorism”, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday condemned the blasts and expressed confidence that “inevitable punishment” is in store for “perpetrators”.Medvedev sent a message of condolence to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil. “There can be no justification to such barbaric acts of terrorism. I am confident that inevitable punishment awaits their instigators, organisers and perpetrators,” he said.“Please, on my personal behalf and on behalf of the entire people of Russia convey heartfelt condolences to the near and dear ones of the deceased and wishes of speedy recovery to all the injured,” he added.French President Nicholas Sarkozy had sent a letter to the PM on Tuesday, where he had expressed support on fighting terrorism.
