CHANDIGARH, Jan 28: The fourth Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial inter school painting and inter college debate competition was organised today jointly by Yuvsatta and Indian Oil Corporation, at Bal Bhawan in Sector 23.
The conntest was opened by R.C. Prasad, IGP, Punjab. The topic for the debate was quot;Conserve Oil or Save Time?quot; and for the painting contest was quot;Conserve Oilquot;. The running trophy for the debate competition was won for the third consecutive year by the team from MCM DAV College Sector 36, Chandigarh.
The position-vise individual result of the contest are:
Bharati Mittal, Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36; Abhijita, MCM DAV College; Anjali Soni, GCG Sector 42. The consolation prizes went to Padmini Jain, GCG Sector 11; Maansi, MCM DAV; Sajjan Singh, GCM Sector 11; Tuery, GCG Sector 42; Manish Sharma, GCM Sector 11.
The position-vise results for the inter-school painting competition are:
Varinder Kumar, Government School Sector 27; Pardeep Kumar, Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 20-D; Monica Angrish, Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 8.
Consolation prizes went to: Manoj Kumar, G.M.S.S. School, Sector 21; Parveen Singh, GMSS School, Sector 20-D, Sunil Kumar, GMSS School, Sector 20-D.
