Mary Philips’ well-wishers

PUNE, July 29: Joe Philips was one of the heroes of the Indian hockey team’s triumph at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. Today his widow Mary washes dishes to earn a living in Khadki, Pune. The Indian Express highlighted her plight following which its offices across the country have been flooded by calls and letters offering help.
