
NEW DELHI, APR 2: Prices of several Maruti car models have gone up further in the range between Rs 14,000 to Rs 40,000 from today due to compliance with the stringent Euro-II emission norms in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Price of the Euro-II norm compliant entry level car model Maruti-800 Std’ has increased by about Rs 14,000 to Rs 2.20 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Other variants of 800 cc model –EX and DX– are already conforming to Euro-II norms and carry price tags of Rs 2.34 lakhs and Rs 2.56 lakhs respectively in the capital, ace to it of raw materials, upgradations and meet Euro-I emission norms.
The popular Zen LX model would now be available in the NCR at a price of Rs 3.22 lakhs against Euro-I variant price of Rs 3.07 lakhs, a hike of about Rs 15,000.
Another Zen version VX’ would carry a price tag of Rs 3.67 lakhs against Rs. 3.53 lakhs earlier.
Maximum price hike has been effected in case of Zen AT as it would now be costlier by Rs 40,000 to Rs 4.70 lakhs. Price of Euro-II compliant Zen Classic’ has been increased by Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 3.88 lakhs compared to the price of its Euro-I compliant version, priced at Rs. 3.74 lakhs.
Prices of other models are unchanged as the company has already introduced Euro-II compliant cars.
