Man killed,allegedly byson’s wife

NEW DELHI, August 12: A 45-year-old man was murdered by his daughter-in-law late last night in Patel Vihar in Karawal Nagar. Rajvir, a beldar (drain cleaner), was strangled by his eldest son’s wife, Sunita (18), after he reportedly tried to rape her.

A resident of Siroli in Ghaziabad, Rajvir stayed with his three sons — Gopal, Neeraj and Deepak — in Patel Vihar. Rajvir reportedly came home drunk around 11 p.m. last night. His sons and daughter-in-law were sleeping on the terrace. Rajvir woke up Sunita and asked her to give him dinner. When she came down, he apparently tried to rape her and she in turn strangled him.

Sunita has been arrested and a case of murder has been registered at the Gokulpuri police station.

In another incident, a woman was found dead in her Punjabi Basti residence in Nangloi. Krishna was found lying on the floor by her relatives. She was rushed to the Jaipur Golden Hospital where she was declared dead. The Nangloi police station has registered a case under sections 302 (murder) and 394 (voluntarily causing hurt and committing robbery).

The police are conducting investigations to ascertain whether thre was an attempt to rob.
