MUMBAI, Nov 6: Robbers relieved a housewife of cash and jewellery worth Rs 80,000 from her residence at Malabar Hill in south Mumbai on Wednesday, the police said.
Three unidentified men posing as labourers hired to clean up gained entry into C-wing flat No 73 at Darya Mahal Building on Napean Sea Road. They then gagged the three occupants, Kantadevi Jagdish Agarwal (68), Meera Agarwal and a maid servant and herded them into the bathroom, which was later found locked from outside. The trio cleared off the family’s safe and fled.
No arrrests were made. “A manhunt has been launched,” said a police officer.
