DERA BASSI, May 27: The Dera Bassi police today claimed to have arrested Jagdish Chand, a resident of Amlala village, about 4 km from here, and recovered 26 bottles of country made liquor from his possession.

In another incident, the police arrested Pitamber Singh, a resident of Mubarikpur-Camp , under the Dera Bassi police station and recovered eight bottles of country made liquor from his possession.Cases under the Excise Act have been registered.
