The Lakme Fashion Week drew to a close on Friday. On a day when bad designs reigned supreme, Anuj Sharma emerged a winner with his 8220;Knot for You8221; collection. The collection revolved around strategically placed knots that bound, shaped, draped and constructed his carefully tailored outfits. Effortlessly chic, he only made use of crepe and georgette. For a Grecian effect, the designer knotted the fabric to create versions of flowers or a butterfly-like effect and held the garments at the shoulders with the help of slim black ribbons. Meanwhile, the ensemble of the day went to Aneeth and Chinar of Gaba, who created some rustic magic with their khadi and handloom line. What we loved the most was a pair of loose pedal pushers in white teamed with a two-layered, smock, flowing green tunic with a white embroidered gamcha thrown around the bag. Nice. But thank god, the fashion weak is over.
