Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has posted 84.67 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 983.85 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 against Rs 532.75 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004.
The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 17.50 per equity share of Rs 2 each in addition to the dividend of Rs 10 per equity share declared in October 2004, L&T informed the Bombay Stock Exchange here on Friday.
Total income, including share of profit from integrated joint ventures, grew to Rs 13,807.42 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 against Rs 10,006.59 crore in FY-04, it said.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs 333.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 against Rs 286.16 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2004, the company said.
Total income rose to Rs 4,388.02 crore during the reporting quarter against Rs 3,695.69 crore in the fourth quarter of FY ’04, the company said.
Karur Vysya Bank net down to Rs 105.34 cr
CHENNAI: Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), a leading private sector bank, on riday reported drop in profit for the year ended March 31, 2005.
The profit of the bank has decreased to Rs 105.34 crore from Rs 161.05 crore recorded in the same period in the previous year, a statement said here.
Total income of the bank also declined to Rs 703.92 crore in 2004-05 from Rs 721.87 crore reported in the previous year.
However, the bank reported 12.87 per cent growth in deposits and 15.60 per cent growth in advances.
Royal Sundaram income up 28% to Rs 335 crore
MUMBAI: Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company Ltd has registered a 28 per cent rise in its premium income for the financial year ended March 31, 2005 at Rs 335 crore as against Rs 262 crore for the last financial year.
The non-life insurance company has recorded a profit of Rs 5.4 crore for the reporting fiscal, the company said in a release here on Friday.
Retail insurance accounted for Rs 203 crore, whilst commercial insurance contributed Rs 132 crore to the company’s total premium income. — Agencies
