Senior leader of ruling Nepali Congress and daughter of Prime Minister G P Koirala, Sujata Koirala has flayed Maoist chairman Prachanda for carrying arms in violation of the weapons management pact. She said an open display of arms could subvert the Constituent Assembly polls in June.

8220;Why is Prachanda carrying arms despite the Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitoula8217;s strict directive asking Maoists not to carry arms?8221; asked Koirala. 8220;All the cadres of the Young Communist League, the youth organisation of the Maoist, are moving around with weapons,8221; she pointed out. Sujata alleged that Prachanda does not want the Constituent Assembly elections to be held, arguing that nobody would cast their votes when people are carrying arms at the election venue.
