CALCUTTA, DEC 12: Hong Tae Kim of Korea recovered from a sluggish start to demolish India’s Kedar Tembe and set up a title clash with another Indian V Kannan in the boys section of the Duncans ITF Junior World Ranking Tennis Championship at the DKS Complex here today.

The Korean staged a brilliant comeback to eventually turn the scale in his favour with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 scoreline to enter final. Kannan brushed aside the challenge of Nick Greenhouse of Great Britain with a facile 6-4, 6-2 victory in the other semi-final encounter.

In the girls section, second seed Uzma Khan of India tamed fourth-seeded compatriot G Sheetal 6-0, 6-7 (15-17), 6-4 after a marathon battle and move into the final.

Unseeded An-Na Lee of Korea disposed of India’s Radhika Mandke 6-3, 6-2 in the second girls semi-final encounter. The lanky Kannan maintained his form to pocket the second set quite easily with a 6-2 margin and cruise into the final of the Championship which gives the Indian Juniors an opportunity to collect valuable ITF points.
