NAGPUR April 30: Eleven members of Vidarbha Sahakar panel, a panel floated by veteran leader Babasaheb Kedar, have been elected unopposed as directors of the prestigious Vidarbha Co-operative Marketing Society.

Kedar was confident that the panel would sweep the remaining five seats, the election for which is scheduled to be held on May 5. He said the panel is supporting the candidature of Suhas Tidke (Akola), Haribhau Patil (Buldana) and Shantaram Deshmukh (Chandrapur), who are contesting from co-operatives constituency and Phoolchand Agrawal (Amravati division) and Nana Patole (Nagpur division) from processing units constituency. Kedar said Sahkar panel members from Chandrapur and Buldana are expected to score easy victories as their main rivals have retired’ from the fray. It is only in Akola district that the contest is hotting up with Sahakar Panel candidate facing a formidable rival.
