PUNE, Oct 11: Noted director of Marathi films Ramakant Govind Kavthekar died here on Monday, following a brief illness. He was 58. Popular among the films directed by him were Nagin, Pandharichi Wari and Aghat. He was also author of the famous Marathi book Auntie.
Kavthekar is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. His last rites were performed at Vaikunth Crematorium.
