NEW DELHI, April 6: A stroke-filled unbeaten 110 and a burst of 4 for 30 by Pankaj Joshi coupled with another fine spell by Tony Singh (3 for 22) helped Chand Khanna overwhelm Lala Ram Charan by 99 runs in a B division match of DDCA League at Palam-B ground.

In another match in C division at Kotla 2, Chandni Chowk Gymkhana prevailed over Oriental Bank of Commerce by a margin of 145 runs. Sonnet Club crushed MCD by 114 runs in a A-I encounter at University.

Batting first, Chandni Chowk batsmen put up a huge total of 351 for six with Salman Siddiqui notching up a 100. His knock contained three sweetly-timed sixes and 10 hits to the boundary. In reply OBC just about managed 206.

In the same division, South Delhi beat Bright by 16 runs at Gyan Bharti School ground. Winning the toss, South Delhi elected bat first, but failed to lay a solid foundation. With the result, wickets fell at regular intervals and they ended up making 186 for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 40 overs.

Rattan Lal’s 50 and Vijay’s 32 were the only saving grace for South Delhi. And in reply, Bright Club batsmen failed to take advantage of an easy paced wicket and lost wickets rather quickly with Rajeev Pal doing the maximum damage with three scalps.

In the A-II division, Delhi defeated Central Secretariat by six wickets at Kotal while KG Colts humbled Kranti Star by five wickets in the same division at Khalsa College ground. Gajender Singh (63) and Vinod (57) were the main scorers for the winners while Naveen (40) was the top scorer for the losers.
