Jindal Steel, 61 Cavalry in final

PATIALA, Dec 4: Jindal Steel and Power will meet 61 Cavalry in the final of the Punjab and Sind Bank Tercentenary Polo Cup being played here at Aviation Cup8217;s Polo ground tomorrow.

In the first semi-final Jindal Steel and Power beat Gen Chanda Singh Tigers team by 9 goals to 2 1/2. It was a one-sided affair though Tigers started with 1 1/2 goal advantage on handicap. Jindal Steel and Power scored three goals in the first chukker to take the lead by 3-1 1/2. Brijpal Singh was the only scorer for the losers.

Jindal Steel and Power scored two goals each in the second, third and last chukker to make the score 9-2 1/2. Samir Suhag scored four goals, Simran Shergill and Siddharth Singh two goals each and Aman Suhag scored one goal for winners.

Meanwhile, Pesco beat Punjab and Sind Bank by 6-4 in the Lt Col S S Sidhu memorial exhibition polo match.
