CHANDIGARH, MARCH 11: Jeev Milkha Singh returned a two-under par 70 on the first day of the EPGA Turespana Masters Open Andalucia Golf Championship at the 72-par Parador Malaga de Golf course in Spain, according to information received here tonight.

Jeev today scored 12 pars, four birdies and hit two bogies. The ace Indian golfer dropped one stroke each on the fourth and fifth greens. On the inward journey, he hit a hat-trick of birdies on the 14th, 15th and 16th holes.

Paolo Quirici of Switzerland finished his first round with a seven-under 65. Angel Cabrera (Argentina), Mark James (England), Diego Borrego (Spain), Christopher Hanell (Sweden), Roger Winchester (England), Fredrik (Sweden), Fredrik Lindgren (Sweden) and Victor Casado (Spain) finished their first day’s programme with an identical card of five-under 67.

When the last report came in, Victor Casado of Spain was five-under at the end of 12th green.
