PUNE, Nov 30: Awami Mahaz Trust, Pune, will organise an Inter-school mini marathon at the Anglo Urdu school ground, New Modikhana, Camp, on Sunday, December 13.
The meet will be conducted in the U-14 and U-16 boys and girls and is expected to attract an encouraging 2000 entries. The highlight will be the whopping prize money at stake.
The winner of the 4 km U-16 boys and girls event will be richer by Rs 3,000, while the first runners-up will get Rs 2,000 and second runners-up Rs 1,000. The fourth and fifth place holder will also get Rs 500 and Rs 250 for their efforts. The U-14 section event, which is to be run on a 2 km distance, also offers a similar prize money.
There is no entry fee for the meet. Entries can be submitted at the Trust office, Azam Campus, latest by December 7. For further details, interested persons may contact Azim Godakuwala (Ph: 652040) between 10 a.m. an 5 p.m.
