PANCHKULA, Aug 26: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) state general secretary, Pardeep Chaudhary, campaigned for the BJP-INLD coalition candidate, Rattan Lal Kataria, in rural areas of Kalka and Barwala tehsils and urged rural voters to attend Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala’s election rally on August 28 in Panchkula.

Accompanied by senior party leaders including Ramgopal Mehta, Rulduram, Ravinder Bator, Vijender Sharma and Vikram Rana, Chaudhary addressed public meetings in Khokhra, Kona, Sukhomajari, Kami, Sudarpur, Alipur, Naggal, Sultanpur, Lahrodi and Jaloli villages. He described the tour as successful and predicted a wave in favour of Prime Minister Vajpayee and Chautala.

Cong to launch door-to-door canvassing
Senior leaders of the district unit of Congress party met here today to discuss the impending district tour of Congress candidate Phool Chand Mullana and Kalka MLA Chandermohan. The leaders decided to launch door-to-door canvassing immediately.

Work hard for victory of party nominees: BJP
The BJP national general secretary, Narendra Modi, also in charge of party affairs in Haryana, gave a pep talk to the party workers at the BJP election office yesterday. He stressed on the need to canvass for the party nominees and urged them to work hard for the victory of the party nominees. Senior party officials including Atma Prakash Manchanda, Hansraj Swan, Shyamlal Bansal, Shyamlal Sachdeva and Banto Kataria attended the meeting.

Satinder Kaur Dhaliwal meets Mohali residents
The SAD-BJP nominee for the Lok Sabha (Reserved) seat of Roopnagar, Satinder Kaur Dhaliwal, today addressed a gathering outside the Punjab School Education Board office in Phase VIII. Speaking on the occasion, critisied the Congress for its misrule and said that any vote polled against the party would indirectly help the Congress party.
