Indian wrestlers set to leave for Beijing

Yogeshwar, an Arjuna awardee, and Sushil, a silver medallist in the Asian Wrestling Championship will rub shoulders with world class grapplers in the freestyle lightweight event in 60kg and 66kg categories respectively.

The three-member Indian Wrestling team including Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt and Rajiv Tomar will leave for Beijing on Thursday to present their challenge in the ongoing sporting extravaganza.

Yogeshwar, an Arjuna awardee, and Sushil, a silver medallist in the Asian Wrestling Championship will rub shoulders with world class grapplers in the freestyle lightweight event in 60kg and 66kg categories respectively.

Fromer Commonwealth gold medallist Rajiv will compete in the 120-kg freestyle heavyweight category.

The Steel Authority of India Limited, who are supporting the grappler trio, gave them a warm send off on Wednesday, a SAIL press release said.
