Indian worker dies in Bahrain

A 38-year-old Indian worker was killed when an iron pipe fell on him.

A 38-year-old Indian worker was killed when an iron pipe fell on him at a construction site in Bahrain’s capital Manama.

Shaikh Wahid, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, died when the iron pipe fell on him while he was helping a fork-lift machine operator offload it from a container at the Ahmad Mansoor Al A’Ali Company worksite on Monday, a media report said toady.

Wahid was rushed to the Salmaniya Medical Complex where he was declared dead, it said.

He was employed there for the last 14 months.
