KOZHIKODE, JUNE 24: Russian Alexandre Lyssenko came to Kozhikode in April to train India8217;s junior talents in two-phased camps of one month each. The camp will end this week.

He praised the Indian juniors and felt Nisha Mohota Bengal, Valay Parikh Gujarat, Sunderrajan Kidambi, Aarthie Ramaswmay TN and Eesha Karvade Maharashtra were very good. 8220;I think they can become Grandmasters,8221; he pointed out.

8220;I know Indians are good in tactical possibilities. So I concentrated in positions in my classes,8221; observed Lyssenko. Grandmaster Pravin Thipsay, who is here accompanying his wife Bhagyashree Thipsay in the National Women A, said he was impressed with the Russian8217;s classes after attending two sessions himself.

Lyssenko, a specialist in estimation of positions8217;, is not fully satisfied. 8220;I would like to pass on my knowledge to India8217;s coaches as well so that there is some continuity in this prorcess,8221; he said.
