
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has told visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran that the strategic partnership between Moscow and New Delhi will be further strengthened during the coming visits of top leaders of the two countries.
Lavrov said Saran’s visit was a continuation of the intensive political consultation process between the countries.
Saran stressed the importance New Delhi places on its relationship with Moscow and said said External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh was looking forward to renewing his associations at Vladivostok during the trilateral meetings between the foreign ministers of Russia, India and China.
During his visit, Saran held talks with Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshcin on bilateral relations and urgent international and regional issues.
