FIH president Els Van Breda Vriesman and secretary general Peter Cohen today arrived in New Delhi with the 2010 World Cup in India being on top of its agenda for the week-long meeting that begins here tomorrow.

More officials of the FIH are expected to arrive here tomorrow for their excecutive meeting. Among other points, the promotion of Indian hockey will also be on the agenda. The progress made by the Indian Hockey Federation in implementing the suggestions made in the Bob Davidson report will also be discussed.

FIH’s Development and Coaching Committee will also be here to assess the recent appointment of Australian great Ric Charlesworth as the technical director for Indian hockey. Charlesworth is also expected to arrive in the country by the end of the week.

Charlesworth was previously associated with New Zealand Cricket.
