Indian umpires

NEW DELHI: Five Indians have been appointed umpires for next month8217;s Bangkok Asian Games by the Asian Tennis Federation and the Games Organising Committee BAGOC.

Nitin Kanamwar Mumbai, Puneet Gupta, Somuya Rao both Delhi, Ankush Kapoor and Praveen Kumar both Chandigarh are the umpires selected from India.

NEW DELHI: If consistency is key to success then India start favourites when they take on South Africa in the semi-finals of the inaugural Kanishka World Cup Cricket for the Blind tomorrow. After clearing the preliminary hurdles without much difficulty, the Indian team will behoping to maintain their winning spree against a rejuvenated South Africa. Pakistan take on Australia at Air Force ground, Palam in the other semi-final.

Kho-kho tourney

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad will host an international Kho-Kho championship from January 28 to 30. Concurrently the 11th openNationals championship for men and women would be held here from January 25 to 29. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan will be taking part.
