KOHIMA: Trailing by a goal at half time, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers RCF, Mumbai, defeated Steel Authority of India Limited Sail, Calcutta, in a quarterfinal match of the 10th Royal Gold Cup Football Tournament. Supriya Dasgupta put Sail ahead but RCF equalised through Srikanta Nayak. Govindan Sajju netted the match-winner.

NEW DELHI: Five Indians have been appointed umpires for next month8217;s Bangkok Asian Games by the Asian Tennis Federation and the Games Organising Committee BAGOC.
Nitin Kanamwar Mumbai, Puneet Gupta, Somuya Rao both Delhi, Ankush Kapoor and Praveen Kumar both Chandigarh are the umpires selected from India.

Kho-kho tourney
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad will host an international Kho-Kho championship from January 28 to 30. Concurrently the 11th openNationals championship for men and women would be held here from January 25 to 29. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan will be taking part.
