Mumbai, Aug 15: Santosh Kadampet scored the match-winner as Income-Tax defeated Bengal Colaba Young Star in the Gulf Oil WIFA Senior Division football league at the Cooperage here today.

In another Senior Division match, Mumbai Port Trust defeated Tipu Sultan 2-0. Mario Caldeira opened the scoring in the 29th minute while Sejin Sankaran got the second goal in the 62nd minute.

At Cross Maidan, Fatima Beach Boys and Goan Sports Association drew goalless in their first division match.

Chemburites defeated Royalers from Juhu 3-0 with Rajesh Mendon, Sunil Pereira and Abhijit Virji getting the goals in the second division match.In two Division Three matches, Sainath and Young Football Club won by an identical margin of 2-0. John Fernandes and L Kevin scored for Sainath while Santosh Tambe and Ram Naidu got the goals in Young FC’s win over CBD.

Sutarwar triumph

Sutarwar of Sahar defeated Bahamwada A’ via the tie-breaker (4-3) to win the Sahar Parish Football Tournament played at Sutarwar groundtoday.The match was goalless after regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Anand Emmanual, Lynn Boothello, Apparao Chiman and Nitesh Ubhare scored for Sutarwar while only Albert Braganza, Brian D’Souza and Dinesh Sawant were successful for the losing side.

Raju Valmiki of Bamanwada was declared the best goalkeeper while Subhash Adilkar of Sutarwar was the more promising.

Valiants top

Valiants won the Julian Vaz Alexander Instant Football Tournament beating Peter Lites 2-0 in the final at Supari Talao, Bandra. Clarence Remidius and Ganesh Ramugade scored the goals.
