Dwarika Sangamnerkar Medical Foundation will present Shatayushi awards to Dr M J Mehta, Dr Shivmurti Khandalkar and Tapan Rawat on October 31.

Union Law Minister Ram Jethmalani will present the awards and speak on Rights and privileges of patients.8217; The Shatayushi best medical teacher award will be given to Dr M J Mehta who was head of the Department of Surgery at B J Medical College.

Dr Shivmurti Khandalkar from Ratnagiri will be awarded the Shatayushi best rural health worker for outstanding work among the people belonging to the lower strata of society. Tapan Rawat studying at the Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Medical college, Amravati was selected as best medical student.

Ranade for Kyoto
Dr H G Ranade, honorary director, Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, has been invited to participate at the second international Vedic workshop 8211; the vedas and early phases of Indian civilization to get underway at Kyoto University, Japan from October 30.
