PATNA, DECEMBER 15: The Income-Tax department has served notices on RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav and Chief Minister Rabri Devi asking for the details of the expenses incurred during the wedding of their daughter Misa Bharati reported to be the millennium's last mega-marriage.I-T sources told PTI that the department also issued the notice to the samdhi of Laloo- a bank employee, Ram Babu Pathik- seeking the details of expenditure he incurred on the wedding of his son Shailesh Kumar (a computer engineer) with Misa.The Income Tax department slapped statutory notice under Section 133 A(5) of the I-T Act barely four days after the wedding. They have been asked to furnish the details of expenditure within ten days or face legal action including attachment of property.Misa's wedding on December 10 was attended by several political bigwigs, including former Prime Ministers H D Deve Gowda, Chandra Shekhar, Union ministers Ram Vilas Paswan, Nitish Kumar, Shahnawaz Hussain, Hukumdeo Narayan Yadav andSamajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.Meanwhile in New Delhi, agitated Rashtriya Janata Dal members on Wednesday created a furore in Lok Sabha over the income tax notice to their leader Laloo.
