OFF TRACK: You design sexy clothes for slim, model-like women. What about the others?
I can make an overweight woman look slim, but my plus sizes just don8217;t sell in India. Bigger women are afraid to come to me. If they did, my sales would be tenfold.
Diet: I don8217;t have a really healthy diet plan8212;I mostly follow a traditional Indian diet. I start with a cup of tea and later have a mug of milk with coffee. Breakfast is two slices of toast with egg bhurji. Lunch and dinner are almost similar, with rotis, dal, sabzi and yogurt. I eat pretty big meals as I get quite hungry at work. I8217;m mostly vegetarian, but I love seafood. I don8217;t stop myself from eating desserts, but food in our home is cooked using minimal amount of oil.
Exercise: I used to be an exercise freak, but I8217;ve stopped now. My job is exercise enough8212;of the eight hours I8217;m there, I8217;m sitting down for only half an hour. I do a few crunches, and run when I have the time. When I get really desperate, I go begging to my trainer who can make me look great in just a month.
Problem areas: I8217;m pretty slim, but Indian hips and upper thighs have been a problem. And now with age, my tummy is one too.
