CHANDIGARH, March 3: Members of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Chandigarh, at a general body meeting, have reposed faith in a joint body of hotels and restaurants since both are related to the same industry.

The association discussed problems of the hotel and hospitality industry, which is presently undergoing a 8220;recessionary phase8221;.

Expressing concern over the high cost of running hotels, lower room occupancy and mushrooming of illegal guest houses in the City, hoteliers called upon the UT Administration to widen the purview of the Administration committee for hospitality industry, HRAC president Manmohan Singh Kohli said.
