NEW DELHI, JULY 1: Hit by the imposition of uniform 12 per cent sales tax and price cuts announced by Maruti Udyog Limited, Hyundai Motor India Limited HMIL is expecting to witness a 7-10 per cent drop in sales in June this year. Senior company officials said here that Hyundai India has sold around 6,000-7,000 units during June 2000 as against 7,561 units in May this year. 8220;We have an order backlog of around 1,400 cars now,8221; the official added. Hyundai expects sales to look up this month. The company is planning to move into third shift of production by August 23. It currently has a capacity to produce 7,200 units per month.
