Ahead of PM A.B. Vajpayee’s state visit, Kashmir’s largets militant outfit, the Hizbul Mujahideen, today accused the Hurriyat Conference of detracting from its principled stand. The Hizb cautioned the amalgam that if it continues to do so, it would end up completely backtracking on the freedom movement. In a faxed statement to a local news agency, the Hizb said that Hurriyat had no mandate to deviate from its known stand.
