SHIMLA, Jan 4: The Shimla police today registered a criminal case against Delhi-based area manager of Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Marketing Federation HIMFED for alleged irregularities in making overpayments to debtors.
According to SSP, Shimla, A. N. Sharma, area manager, V. R. Bhardwaj had exceeded his powers which had resulted in locking up of an amount of Rs 86 lakh.
This case came to the notice of HIMFED authorities recently and they set up a committee to probe the irregularities.
The police have lodged an FIR under Sections 45, 420, 467, 471 and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code.
