
CALCUTTA, JANUARY 14: The 11 Israeli nationals, who had been held up at NSC Bose international airport here since Tuesday, left for Delhi this morning on their way back home, airport sources said.
The Israelis, who were held up at the airport since Tuesday, finally left by a Delhi-bound Indian Airlines flight at 9.30 am, delayed by over three hours because of fog, the sources said. They would be boarding a connecting flight from there, the sources said.
The Israeli nationals, who had arrived here from Delhi on way to Dhaka, were detained at the airport here since Tuesday due to some discrepancies8217; in their travel documents.
However they were offloaded from a Bangladesh Biman flight late on Wednesday night following instructions from Dhaka even after the Indian authorities allowed them to fly to Bangladesh after interrogation.
They had since been under the surveillance of police at the airport8217;s international transit lounge, the sources said.
